Image Resolution Interpolation Calculator
What This Does
This calculator helps you determine the appropriate resolution for an image when scaling based on a known relationship between two reference points.
Example: If you've reduced a 4000px image to 3200px and a 2000px image to 1800px, this calculator will tell you what size a 3000px image should be reduced to, maintaining the same proportional relationship.
Reference Point 1: 4000px → 3200px
Reference Point 2: 2000px → 1800px
Calculate: 3000px → 2600px
Formula:
Result = RS - ((S - I) × (RL - RS) / (L - S))
Where: L = Largest, RL = Reduced Largest, S = Smallest, RS = Reduced Smallest, I = Image Resolution
